Troparia of the 12 Great Feasts
Nativity of the Theotokos
September 8th
Thy nativity, O Theotokos, hath proclaimed joy to the whole universe; for from thee did shine forth the Sun of justice, Christ our God, annulling the curse and bestowing the blessing, abolishing death and granting us life everlasting.
Elevation of the Cross
September 14th
O Lord, save thy people and bless thine inheritance, granting to thy people victory over all their enemies, and by the power of thy cross preserving thy commonwealth.
Entrance of the Theotokos
November 21st
Today the Virgin is the foreshadowing of the pleasure of God, and the beginning of the preaching of the salvation of mankind. Thou hast appeared in the temple of God openly and hast gone before, preaching Christ to all. Let us shout with one thrilling voice, saying: Rejoice, O thou who art the fulfillment of thy Creator's dispensation.
Nativity of the Christ
December 25th
Thy nativity, O Christ our God, has shown to the world the light of wisdom, for by it those who worshipped the stars were taught by a star to adore, the Sun of Righteousness, and to know Thee, the Orient from on high, O Lord, glory to Thee.
Theophany
Janurary 6th
When thou, O Lord, was baptized in the Jordan, worship of the Trinity was made manifest: for the voice of the Father bore witness to thee, calling Thee His beloved Son; and the Spirit, in the likeness of a dove, confirmed the truth of His word. O Christ, our God, who hast appeared and enlightened the world, glory to thee.
Meeting of the Lord
February 2nd
Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos, full of grace, for from thee arose the Sun of Justice, Christ our God, enlightening those who sat in darkness. Rejoice, O righteous elder, carrying in thine arms the deliverer of our souls. Granteth us the resurrection.
The Annunciation
March 25th
Today is the beginning of our salvation, and the manifestation of the mystery from the ages; for the Son of God becometh the Son of the Virgin, and Gabriel proclaimeth grace, wherefore do we shout with him to the Theotokos: Rejoice, O full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Palm Sunday
Sunday before Pascha
O Christ, God, when Thou didst raise Lazarus from the dead, before Thy passion did confirm the universal resurrection, wherefore we, like babes, carry the banner of triumph and victory, and cry unto Thee, O Vanquisher of Death: Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord.
The Ascension of Our Lord
40 days after Pascha
Thou hast ascended in glory, O Christ our God, and gladden thy disciples with the promise of the Holy Spirit, making them confident through the blessing that thou art the Son of God, and the Deliverer of the world.
Holy Pentecost

Blessed art thou, O Christ our God, who hast revealed the fisherman as most wise, having sent upon them the Holy Spirit, and through them Thou hast fished the universe, O Lover of mankind. Glory to thee.
Christ is Risen - Slow
Fridays of Great Lent, Major Feast of the Theotokos
Awed by the beauty of thy virginity and the exceeding radiance of thy purity, Gabriel stood amazed and cried to thee, O Mother of God: What praise may I offer thee, that is worthy of thy beauty? By what name shall I call thee? I am lost and bewildered. But I shall greet thee, as I was commanded: Hail! Thou that art full of grace.

Orthos Service
Blessed art Thou, O Lord; teach me Thy statutes. The company of the Angels was amazed, when they beheld Thee numbered among the dead, yet Thyself, O Savior, destroying the power of death, and with Thee raising up Adam and releasing all men from hell.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord; teach me Thy statutes. Wherefore, O Women Disciples, do ye mingle sweet-smelling spices with your tears of pity? The radiant Angel within the sepulcher cried unto the Myrrh-bearing Women: Behold the grave, and understand; for the Savior is risen from the tomb.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord; teach me Thy statutes. Very early in the morning did the Myrrh-bearing Women run lamenting unto Thy tomb; but an Angel came toward them saying: The time for lamentation is passed; weep not; but announce unto the Apostles the Resurrection.
Blessed art Thou, O Lord; teach me Thy statutes. The Myrrh-bearing Women mourned as bearing spices they drew near Thy tomb, O Savior. But the Angel spake unto them saying: Why number ye the living among the dead? In that He is God, He is risen from the grave.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. We adore the Father, as also His Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Holy Trinity in One Essence; crying with the Seraphim: Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O Lord.
Both now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen. In that thou didst bear the Giver of Life, O Virgin, thou didst redeem Adam from sin, and didst give to Eve joy in place of sadness; and He Who was incarnate of thee, both God and man, hath restored to life those who had fallen therefrom.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia. Glory to Thee, O God. (thrice)
O our God and our Hope, glory to Thee!
The Transfiguration of Christ
August 6th
Thou wast transfigured on the Mount, O Christ our God, revealing Thy glory to Thy disciples as far as they could bear it. Let Thy everlasting light shine upon us, sinners! Through the prayers of the Theotokos, O Giver of Light, glory to Thee!

Bridegroom Services of Holy Week
Behold, the Bridegroom cometh in the middle of the night, and blessed is that servant whom He shall find watching; and again unworthy is he whom He shall find heedless. Beware, therefore, O my soul, lest thou be borne down with sleep, lest thou be given up to death, and be shut out from the Kingdom. But rather rouse thyself and cry: Holy, Holy, Holy art Thou, O our God.

The Dormition of the Theotokos
August 15th
In giving birth, thou didst preserve virginity, and in thy dormition thou didst not forsake the world, O Theotokos, for thou wast translated unto life, for thou art the Mother of Life. By thine intercessions, deliver our souls from death.
Lenten & Paschal Hymns
To Thee the Champion Leader
Fridays of Great Lent
To thee, the Champion Leader, do I offer thanks of victory, O Theotokos, thou who hast delivered me from terror; but as thou that hast that power invincible, O Theotokos, thou alone can set me free: from all forms of danger free me and deliver me, that I may cry unto thee: “Hail, O Bride without bridegroom.”

Troparia of the Preparation for the Nativity
Make ready, O Bethlehem, for Eden hath been opened for all! Prepare, O Ephratha, for the Tree of Life hath blossomed forth in the cave from the Virgin. For her womb hath appeared as a supersensual paradise in which is planted that Holy Vine. If we should eat thereof we shall live and not die, as did Adam. Christ shall be born, raising the image that fell at the beginning!
